Metroid Dread developer MercurySteam is latest to announce layoffs

The latest studio to announced redundancy’s is the talented studio behind the well-received Metroid Dread, MercurySteam. The company said that “while this is something common within the production cycles of our industry, it is nonetheless a difficult and painful situation.” MercurySteam says it will do “everything we can” to try to help the laid off workers jobs at other companies.
“We want to express our deepest respect, gratitude, and support for the people affected, whose talent, effort, and commitment have been an important part of the studio’s history,” reads the post.
