Robbery accused arrested in Gwalior

A  joint team of Maharajpura police station and Crime Branch in Gwalior has arrested the criminals who shot and looted Chahat Soni, proprietor of Ram Raja Jewelers, in an encounter at 9:00 pm on  September 23, 2024 in Kheria Mirdha police station area of Gwalior.

It is noteworthy that a reward of Rs 10000 was also announced by the Superintendent of Police Gwalior on the arrest of the accused of robbery. During the search of the spot, the police team recovered a 32 bore pistol, 3 live rounds, an empty shell and a motorcycle from the spot.

A police team was formed to trace the accused and track the accused.

In joint action the police station Maharajpura and Crime Branch  cordoned off the area near Khiriya Mirdha Community Hall. To avoid arrest, the accused opened fire on the police party with the intention to kill them. In the retaliatory action taken by the police, a miscreant, Arun Chauhan (25) of Rupahati police station Ambah district Morena, was injured after he was hit by a bullet in his leg.

Thereafter, the police admitted the accused to JS Hospital in Gwalior for treatment. Along with this, the police also surrounded and arrested two other miscreants Pramod Singh Tomar (25) of Udar Pur Porsa district Morena and Radha Swami alias Chhotu Jatav(25) of Ramnagar Porsa district Morena.

Arun Chauhan, a habitual criminal caught by the police encounter, has more than a dozen crimes registered against him like murder, robbery and dacoity. Accused Pramod son of Narendra Singh Tomar,has cases booked for murder and robbery.
