Pro-Russian candidate ahead in Romania with 98.6% of first-round votes counted

The pro-Russian Georgescu received 22.59 percent of the votes counted, with centre-left Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu on 19.55 percent ahead of a second round scheduled for December 8.
