The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Unofficial PC Port Released

by · DSOGaming

MatheoVignaud has just released an unofficial native PC port for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. As such, PC gamers will be able to enjoy another Zelda game that was exclusive to Nintendo’s consoles.

For those who did not know, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is a Zelda game that came out on Game Boy Advance in 2004. It serves as a prequel to Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, telling the origins of the Four Sword and the villain Vaati.

This Zelda game retains the top-down camera that was used in A Link to the Past. At the same time, it introduces some new features and mechanics.

For instance, Link now has the ability to to transform into “Minish size” using portals throughout the world. This means that Link’s smaller size will change his ability to traverse his environments.

Moreover, the game introduces three new items. These are the Mole Mitts, the Gust Jar, and the Cane of Pacci. The Mole Mitts allows Link to dig through earthen walls. On the other hand, the Gust Jar sucks up enemies and other objects. Finally, the Cane of Pacci flips objects upside-down. Furthermore, in certain areas, the player can create multiple copies of Link.

As with most unofficial PC ports we’ve seen these past couple of years, Nintendo won’t be able to shut it down. TMC does not contain any assets from the game. Therefore, Nintendo won’t be able to send MatheoVignaud or GitHub a DMCA notice.

You can go ahead and download this unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap from this link. From what I can see, all the ROM files are compatible with it. Therefore, you won’t be limited to one specific version. You can use the US, the EU or the JP ROM.

Needless to say, we won’t share any download links for the ROM file. Also, if you share a download link in the Comment section, your comment will be deleted. So, consider this your warning.

In case you are into projects like these, you can also download the unofficial PC port of Super Mario 64Mario Kart 64Crash Team Racing, and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. You can also play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeMajora’s MaskPerfect Dark, and Jak & Daxter. And that’s not all of them. We also have the unofficial PC ports of Mario Party 4, Sonic Unleashed, and Super Smash Bros 64.

Have fun!
