Gears of War: E-Day October 26th Update Released & Detailed

by · DSOGaming

Microsoft and The Coalition have released the October 26th Update for Gears of War: E-Day and have shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

The October 26th patch fixes several campaign bugs. These include camera issues, broken mission goals, a stuck train car, and missing dialogue. It also fixes a bug that could stop players from aiming right after firing from cover.

In Horde Siege, players can now close E-Holes without issues caused by other squads. The update also fixes a bug that could kick all players from a server if one player failed to load in.

Versus mode gets more fixes, too. Ranked matches now wait two minutes before ending after a player leaves and fails to return. The update also fixes spots where dropped bombs could become stuck out of reach. It also stops the game from giving players the Killjoy ribbon for destroying enemy gear.

Other fixes address Xbox Cloud Gaming settings and sign-in errors caused by incorrect system date or time settings. Still, some players may face freezes or crashes during long play sessions. The team is looking into these reports. It is also working on a fix for a Smoke Grenade exploit that lets players see through smoke. Action has been taken against users who abuse this and other cheats, such as aimbots.

The update also brings Halloween fun to E-Day. In Versus Trick-or-Treat, players wear pumpkin heads and fight for the Jack-o-Cannon. Pumpkins across the map hide special weapons and tricks. In Horde Siege, players face the Boogeyman and his crew of glowing pumpkin foes. Both modes offer a chance to earn rewards during the limited-time event.

As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
