Tinubu wins presidential primary in Rivers by landslide
by Adeola Balogun · The Eagle OnlinePresident Bola Tinubu has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in Rivers State.
President Tinubu scored a total of 280,082 votes against his rival, Stanley Osifo, who scored zero, in the primaries on Saturday.
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the Returning Officer for the presidential primary, announced the results on Saturday after receiving returns from Collation Officers across the 23 local government areas of the state.
Fubara stated: “From after accreditation we had a total number of 280,082 votes cast. This votes was between the two contestants, His Excellency Bola Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo.

“From my tabulation, the total votes cast are in this order. His Excellency Bola Tinubu scored a total vote of 280,082. The other contestant, Mr Stanley, scored zero.
“I, Siminialayi Fubara, who is serving as State Collation Officer, hereby certify that the information contained in my spreadsheets in this form represent the true, correct and accurate record of the summary of results from the 23 local government areas.“We are to send this result to Abuja, but notwithstanding, it is practical that from what we have here, the winner is His Excellency Bola Tinubu.”
