43-year-old teacher arraigned over alleged sexual assault of 10-year-old pupil
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe police in Lagos on Friday arraigned a 43-year-old teacher, Enoch Oyetimilehin, before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old pupil.
The defendant, a resident of 11, Habeeb Akinlade Avenue, Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, is facing a charge of sexual assault.
The Prosecutor, Adegoke Ademigbuji, stated that the defendant committed the offence on June 18, 2026 at a private school on Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos.
Ademigbuji, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, stated that the victim reported to the police that the defendant, her English teacher, had been making sexual advances toward her for about a month.

He stated that the defendant lured the girl into the music room within the school premises, forcefully fondled her breast, kissed her neck, and touched other parts of her body.
The prosecutor noted that the case was reported to the school authorities, leading to the defendant’s arrest.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Chief Magistrate, C. M. Kushanu, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N700,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Kushanu adjourned the case until September 24 for mention.
