Breaking: Osun 2026: Adeleke wins seven LGAs, Oyebamiji one
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe candidate of Accord and incumbent, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been declared the winner in seven of the eight local government areas whose results have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State, while Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won in the remaining one.
The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, announced the results in the early hours of Sunday.
Ogunwole, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, announced the results at the State Collation Centre in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Osun State has 30 local government areas.
The collation was still on as at press time.
