2027: Adamawa APC elects governorship candidate
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineTijjani Galadima, a former Chief Executive of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), has won the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.
Announcing the result in Yola on Friday, the committee chairman, Prof. Innocent Barikor, said he secured the highest votes.
Barikor said Galadima polled 414,444 votes, while Abdulrazak Namdas scored 86,004 votes, and Abdulrahaman Haske secured 65,934 votes.
“Having satisfied the party’s requirements, Galadima is hereby declared winner,” he said.
The results were announced before representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the appeal committee, party officials, and other stakeholders.
In his acceptance speech, Galadima thanked party supporters for their confidence in him as the APC governorship candidate.
He also commended party stakeholders, including National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for ensuring a level playing field during the primary.

He further appreciated aspirants who stepped down for him and urged continued support for the party’s victory in 2027.
