Breaking: Osun 2026: Adeleke floors Oyebamiji in Iwo LGA
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe candidate of Accord and incumbent, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has floored his main rival in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, in Iwo Local Government Area in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, announced the result in the early hours of Sunday.
The result, made public at the collation centre in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, was the 17th to be announced by INEC.

Out of the 16 LGAs earlier announced, Adeleke took 11, while Oyebamini won in five.
The latest result makes it 12 LGAs for Adeleke out of the state’s 30.
