An X influencer operating under the handle @AJSMILE911 has reportedly been arrested at his residence in Abuja following a controversial post involving music executive Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mother.

The reported arrest surfaced on Friday days after the influencer shared a video making an unverified claim that Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mother were in a romantic relationship and expecting a baby.

According to reports circulating on social media, unidentified men arrived at the influencer’s residence on Friday morning, seized the phones of people present to prevent them from recording the incident and took him away.

The reported arrest claim was amplified by an X user, @Funksmama, who shared a screenshot of a message purportedly sent by the influencer’s brother.

The controversy began on September 29 when @AJSMILE911 posted a video accompanied by the caption: “Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mom happily celebrate as they prepare to welcome their unborn baby.”

The footage reportedly originated from a video posted by Ayra Starr’s mother on November 26, 2023, but was later shared with a different caption.

Don Jazzy responded publicly on Wednesday after the post circulated, writing: “Let me first tag and beg your family members to talk sense to you now o.”
