Chelsea fans turn on Boehly after Forest defeat
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlinePressure is mounting on Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly as supporter anger deepens following the club’s troubled campaign and fading hopes of Champions League qualification.
Chelsea’s 3-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday effectively ended their chances of finishing in the Premier League top five, increasing frustration among supporters already unhappy with the direction of the club.
According to BBC Sport on Wednesday, protests are now being planned ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City, while additional demonstrations are expected during Chelsea’s final home game of the season.
The growing unrest is directed at BlueCo, the ownership group led by Boehly and Clearlake Capital, amid criticism over repeated managerial changes and uncertainty surrounding the club’s long-term strategy.
Chelsea are once again searching for a permanent manager following the dismissal of Liam Rosenior, further intensifying concerns among supporters over instability at Stamford Bridge.
Financial concerns have also added to the pressure after the club announced a pre-tax loss of £262m in its latest accounts.
UEFA is also continuing to monitor Chelsea under an existing settlement agreement linked to spending regulations.
Supporter groups, including “Not A Project CFC,” have accused the club hierarchy of losing Chelsea’s identity through what they describe as an overly experimental approach.

Ticketing policies and inconsistent performances on the pitch have also contributed to tensions between fans and the ownership.
Despite the backlash, Chelsea still have an opportunity to salvage part of the season with victory in the FA Cup final.
However, many supporters are demanding broader changes beyond silverware, including stability, transparency and a clearer football structure.
The coming months are expected to be decisive for Boehly and BlueCo as pressure continues to build around the club’s future direction.
