Nefeli Livieratou Builds a New Life in New York With Shipowner’s Son

Nefeli Livieratou, the eldest daughter of Greek model Evi Adam and singer Lambis Livieratos, is pursuing her professional ambitions in New York while maintaining a relationship with shipping industry professional Yannis Dalakouras.

Away from the spotlight that surrounded her famous parents, Nefeli has forged her own path through higher education and a career focused on economics.

Adam and Livieratos were one of Greece’s best known celebrity couples in the late 1990s. Adam rose to prominence as a model, while Livieratos enjoyed success as a pop singer. The couple married in a private ceremony on the island of Ios in 1999 and have two daughters, Nefeli and Danae. They separated in 2011.

Two Sisters, Two Different Paths

Although the sisters grew up in a family closely connected to the entertainment industry, they have pursued different interests.

Nefeli has focused on economics and professional development, while her younger sister, Danae, has followed a musical path, drawing inspiration from their father’s career.

In a previous interview with Hello magazine, Adam spoke about the contrasting personalities of her daughters. She described Nefeli as organised, focused and logical, saying her approach to life reminded her of her own.

Danae, meanwhile, was described as creative and intelligent, with a vivid imagination and strong artistic interests.

From the University of Bath to Columbia University

Nefeli completed her undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Bath in England before earning a postgraduate qualification in the same field at Columbia University in New York.

Her mother travelled to the United States to attend her graduation, sharing the milestone with her daughter. Dalakouras was also present at the ceremony.

Nefeli’s academic achievements reflect her decision to establish an independent career rather than follow her mother’s footsteps into modelling.

In an earlier interview with SKAI, she made clear that she did not compare herself with Adam and had no intention of pursuing a career on the catwalk.

Relationship With Shipping Industry Professional Yannis Dalakouras

Nefeli is in a relationship with Yannis Dalakouras, the son of Greek shipowner Dimitris Dalakouras and Areti Dalakoura.

According to Greek media reports, the couple met through mutual friends in New York. Their relationship developed over time, with both now based in the American city.

The couple have shared glimpses of their life together on social media, including photographs from outings and holidays.

Despite her family’s public profile, Nefeli generally keeps a relatively low profile, balancing her personal life with her academic background and professional ambitions.

While her younger sister pursues music, Nefeli continues to build a future in New York on her own terms, demonstrating the different directions the two daughters of Adam and Livieratos have chosen.
