The Jacinda Royale Raises Funds for Rare Ovarian Cancer Research
by Bill Giannopoulos · Greek City TimesThe Jacinda Royale, a charity night in memory of 30-year-old Sydney woman Jacinda Manettas, takes over The Pillars in Sydney this Saturday, 7 November, with organisers aiming to raise $100,000 for research into the rare cancer she faced.
Funds raised on the night will go to Professor Kylie Gorringe’s research into mucinous ovarian cancer at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) in Melbourne. Greek City Times reported last week on the Manettas family’s push for more funding after Jacinda’s death.
She had the loudest laugh in every room, so we’re throwing the night she would have thrown.
