Concern has surrounded French actor Christophe Lambert after he suddenly collapsed while signing autographs for fans at the Steel City Comic-Con in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The 69-year-old actor, also known as Christopher Lambert, reportedly became unwell on Saturday during the annual convention while meeting fans and signing autographs.

An eyewitness told TMZ that Lambert “suddenly collapsed” during the autograph session.

Paramedics quickly took the Highlander star to a local hospital for medical attention.

Organisers of Steel City Con later issued a statement confirming that Lambert had to leave the event because of a personal matter. They also cancelled his scheduled photo session with fans.

Christophe Lambert’s condition

A representative for the Mortal Kombat star told TMZ that Lambert was “completely fine” and resting in his hotel room.

According to the representative, Lambert had not slept sufficiently the previous night and had eaten very little. The combination reportedly caused his blood sugar to drop.

It remained unclear whether Lambert would return to Steel City Con on Sunday.

However, his representative told TMZ that the actor was expected to recover sufficiently to attend FAN EXPO Chicago the following week.

Page Six also contacted Lambert’s representative for further comment but had not received an immediate response.

Lambert remains best known internationally for his role as Connor MacLeod in the Highlander franchise, as well as for starring as Raiden in Mortal Kombat.
