IKARIA, Greece: Seychelles Beach, on the southern coast of Ikariaikaria near Magganitis, is one of the island’s most distinctive coastal attractions.

The small cove is framed by pale rock formations and clear turquoise water, creating a dramatic setting that has earned it comparisons with tropical destinations while retaining a distinctly Aegean character.

How to get to Seychelles Beach

By car, follow the road towards Magganitis and park near the tunnel on the main coastal road. From the parking area, visitors continue on foot along a short but steep path to the beach.

The walk takes around seven minutes, but the uneven terrain makes sturdy footwear advisable.

Seychelles can also be reached by boat, with seasonal boat trips and water taxis operating from nearby coastal areas when conditions allow.

As facilities are limited, visitors should bring drinking water, food, sunscreen and other essentials.

The beach is small, so it can become busy during the peak summer months. Those visiting should also allow time for the uphill walk back to the road.
