Paola is reportedly in advanced discussions to join The Voice of Greece as a coach, following the death of Giorgos Mazonakis just days before filming for the new season was scheduled to begin.

According to Greek entertainment outlet Zappit, the popular singer is now close to reaching an agreement with SKAI to take the vacant coaching seat.

Mazonakis had been announced as one of the coaches for the upcoming season, but his sudden death on September 9 left the production with the difficult task of finding a replacement shortly before filming was set to begin.

Paola and Mazonakis shared a long-standing friendship and a close professional relationship in the Greek music industry.

Her reported involvement would therefore bring a personal connection to the program as production prepares to continue following Mazonakis’ death.

Neither Paola nor SKAI has officially confirmed the reported agreement.

According to the reports, however, the two sides are expected to finalize the deal and sign contracts within the next few days, barring any last-minute developments.

The new season of The Voice of Greece is expected to begin filming shortly.
