Floyd Mayweather has said his next fight will be against Mike Zambidis in Greece.

The original exhibition — billed Battle of the Legends for 27 June at the Telekom Center in the OAKA complex — did not happen. A New York lawsuit from CSI Sports Events, which said it had paid Mayweather for exclusive rights to bouts with Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao, froze promotion, tickets and the DAZN stream. Mayweather’s lawyer told the court the Athens night was off. The undercard went ahead. Organisers said then that the main event could move.

Speaking in Puerto Rico at the weekend, Mayweather said exhibitions take time and that “the fight in Greece is the next one that will happen.” He did not name a new date. Promoters had once talked about September. That window passed.

Zambidis, the Greek kickboxing champion known as Iron Mike, holds a long list of world titles from the K-1 MAX years. Mayweather retired 50–0 in 2017 and has boxed exhibitions since.

Until a date, venue and broadcaster are locked, the Athens night is a promise, not a card.
