Mysuru: In a significant development signalling the initiation of the Lokayukta Police investigation into the FIR registered against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family concerning the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site scam, Lokayukta Police today arrived at the 3.16-acre land previously owned by Siddaramaiah’s wife, B.M. Parvathi, in Kesare to conduct a thorough survey.

Before the survey commenced, the Lokayukta Police summoned the complainant, Snehamayi Krishna, to their office at 7.30 am. The investigative teams later brought Krishna to Kesare, where Parvathi’s land was located before MUDA acquired it to establish the Kesare-Devanur Third Stage Layout.

In exchange for this land, MUDA sanctioned 14 sites to Parvathi in the upscale Vijayanagar Third and Fourth Stages, which have now become embroiled in controversy, leading to significant political and legal complications for Siddaramaiah.

The survey this morning was led by Lokayukta SP T.J. Udesh, with over 20 officials arriving in four jeeps and two cars to oversee the inspection.

Focusing solely on survey number 464, the land previously owned by Parvathi, Police did a detailed assessment. Officials conducted site inspections, measuring the area with iron chains and sketching a comprehensive layout of the property. This meticulous investigation aims to uncover any irregularities linked to the land allotments.

Following the survey’s completion at about 12.30 pm, Lokayukta officials gathered signatures     from complainant Snehamayi Krishna and collected crucial information regarding digital and online estimates for the land. They also questioned the complainant as to where he got the information about the land deal and how he accessed documents.

The investigation is expected to shed light on the allegations surrounding these controversial land dealings, intensifying scrutiny on the Chief Minister and his family.

Krishna later told reporters, “I will fully cooperate with the Lokayukta authorities in the investigation. If any documents are needed during the investigation, I am ready to provide the records in my possession. I will answer any questions asked during the investigation. I will not make false accusations without evidence and I am confident that I will win in this case as well.”
