Congress workers celebrate 64th birthday of DKS
by Author · Star of MysoreMysore/Mysuru: Congress workers celebrated the 64th birthday of Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS), who is also the KPCC President, at several venues in city, amid buzz over leadership change in the State.
A huge rangoli measuring 60×135 feet (see drone image of rangoli alongside) of DKS was drawn in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in city by artists Puneeth Kalavida, C. Lakshmi, Harshith and Ravi, which attracted the attention of the passersby.
Some of the Congress workers also performed special pujas at temples praying for the well-being of their leader.
The Deputy CM’s birthday was also celebrated at Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple in Vijayanagar. In another celebration, DKS fans distributed sweets to children of Rajkumari Doddamani’s Deaf and Dumb Ashram in Tilaknagar.
The KPCC Chief, who was greeted by Legislators and Ministers at his residence in Bengaluru, was also blessed by a battery of priests with the chanting of Vedic hymns.
