Mysuru: After yesterday’s disappointment, the spectators at the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap, who had gathered in large numbers to watch the Dasara Air Show, were a happy lot this morning as the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) completed the full display that was cut short due to bad weather yesterday.

The show began at 11 am with Hawk Mk 132 jets arriving above the Torchlight Parade Grounds from Yelahanka Air Base in Bengaluru. The team performed a total of 18 vertical and horizontal manoeuvres till  11.20 am before heading back.

Earlier, spectators had gathered in at the Bannimantap Grounds much earlier to watch display of metal birds perform aerobatic stunts. They were seen cheering and whistling as the jets flew past them performing aerial stunts.

Following the conclusion of the Air Show, the roads surrounding the Torchlight Parade Grounds witnessed traffic congestion as people moved out to visit other venues hosting Dasara events.
