Goodbyes at training ground ahead of move to West Ham – Travelling for medical

by · Sport Witness

Earlier today, claims from Argentine and Italy stated West Ham are set to sign Lazio’s Taty Castellanos in the winter market.

West Ham were exchanging documents with the Italian club, and subsequently a deal was close. The striker was expected to undergo his West Ham medical in the coming days.

The Hammers have made further advances, and Gianluca Di Marzio now covers the latest. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have finalised the details of this operation with Lazio.

The Argentina international was at the Biancocelesti’s training ground on Friday morning, to say goodbye to his teammates. The journalist adds the 27-year-old has already cleared out his locker.

West Ham now await the frontman, who will soon travel to London to seal a permanent move.

The South American has scored two goals and contributed three assists from 11 matches for Lazio this season. Nuno and West Ham will hope he can impress immediately at the London club.

On the other side of the deal, Castellanos believes a move to the Premier League can improve his chances of making it to Lionel Scaloni’s World Cup squad.

Taty Castellanos is set to move for around €30m, an amount considered a good deal for Lazio. He’s scored two goals and added three assists so far this season, playing mainly as a striker.
