Barca keeping close watch on Newcastle United man
Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports Hansi Flick’s side have a few young talents on their agenda.
This includes Newcastle United’s Lewis Miley, Bayern Munich’s Lennart Karl, AZ Alkmaar’s Kees Smit, FC Porto’s Rodrigo Mora and Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza.
The Catalan club have already gathered positive reports about these youngsters.
At St. James’ Park, the England U21 international has established himself as one of the brightest prospects in English football.
With regards to Miley, Mundo state he is a ‘complete midfielder, possessing a maturity beyond his years, a good physique, and the ability to play in various roles across the centre of the pitch.’
Good ties with Newcastle United player’s agent
British agency Unique Sports Group represent the Newcastle United player, and their client list also includes Anthony Gordon.
The latter’s move to the Camp Nou would have seen the representatives build good ties with Barcelona. This could help the La Liga winners if they were to make concrete advances for Lewis Miley.
However, the operation won’t be easy, at least for this summer. Last month, the midfielder signed a new contract until 2032, and Transfermarkt value him at €25m.
The renewal puts Newcastle United in a comfortable position to fend off Barcelona or any other club.
