The Duskbloods Delayed From 2026 to 2027
by Jenni Lada · SiliconeraEven though FromSoftware and Nintendo had been suggesting The Duskbloods would release in 2026 around this past May, the two now confirmed the Switch 2 game is delayed will debut in 2027 instead. It cited needing more time for the “final adjustment stage” on social media. There announcement didn’t note which quarter we can expect it to appear.
In a follow-up tweet, FromSoftware elaborated on what people can expect the team to work on now that The Duskbloods is delayed. Specifically, the statement said, “During the network test, we saw active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, we have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.”
This comes after the team did experience an issue with the closed The Duskbloods Network Test held back in August 2026. Issues with the first day resulted in it being closed, though it did run after that. That beta allowed people to explore one map with a handful of the available characters. This also meant people got to see how the different phases in the game work in each match.
