I'm TechRadar's Homes Editor, and my favorite home office upgrades are IKEA's various desktop shelves and add-on units, which simply clamp onto your desk and provide lots of extra room for books, boxes, and other paraphernalia, keeping the top of the desk clear.

You can keep devices off your desk with a clamp-on phone or tablet holder, and use a monitor stand with a drawer to raise your screen to a more comfortable height while adding extra storage for important papers.

A narrow bookcase will fit neatly in the corner and take up hardly any floor space, and IKEA's clever pegboards give you a place to keep letters, notes, photos, and small objects to add some personality to your workspace, no matter how small it is.
