Hugh Grant Said He Doesn't "Really Remember" Donald Trump Despite Being In A Rom-Com Together
by Mychal Thompson · BuzzFeedGet in here, kids! Hugh Grant said something spicy about former president Donald Trump.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Hugh playfully said Trump "always wanted to be in my stuff" when the host brought up the former president's name.
"He played a bit part as himself in a romantic comedy I did with Sandra Bullock," Hugh said.
He's talking about the 2002 romantic comedy Two Weeks Notice.
Yup, that's right. The 45th president who criticizes Hollywood wasn't just a random cameo in Home Alone 2, The Little Rascals, Zoolander, The Nanny, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air — he was opposite Hugh in the popular rom-com.
While Trump's 20 seconds of screen time were Academy Award-winning material (I kid), Hugh wasn't moved at all by Trump's inclusion, barely remembering his presence altogether.
"But the fact is that I don't really remember him very well. The night he came, I had a bet with Sandy that I could make the chairman of Warner Bros. cry by 9 p.m.," Hugh continued.
"And I was completely focused on that. It's quite a big bet. She didn't believe I could do it, but I did it," Grant said, noting that the chairman was indeed "in floods of tears" by 8:30 p.m. because he mentioned three things that always make him cry: his children, his father, or Castle Rock Pictures.
"So I'm afraid Donald Trump didn't really register," Hugh said.
Oof, forgettable.
