Blake Lively plans to move ahead amid legal case with Justin Baldoni
Recently, Blake Lively’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley had a conversation with the Entertainment Tonight, during which she revealed that with her appearance on Met Gala 2026, Blake is planning to move ahead amid the legal battle. Further, Sigrid appreciated Blake for standing up for herself despite such tough times. Sigrid McCawley shared:
"As part of that, it's about standing up and not being silenced, right? Moving on with your life, moving forward, and that's exactly what Blake is intent on doing. She was incredibly brave to stand up for herself in that moment and for others in the workplace and she's going to continue to pave that path of being really bold and brave in this moment."
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer also supports Blake Lively’s Met Gala 2026 appearance
While the statement of Blake Lively’s attorney grabbed a lot of attention, what made headlines was when Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, appreciated Blake’s appearance at the 2026 Met Gala. He stated that if the event helped Blake heal, then it's very good for her. In a conversation with ET, he shared:
"I think whatever she needs to do to make her feel better as a human being — there's certain choices I wouldn't make, but I wouldn't be invited, so that's irrelevant. There's certain choices that people make that they need to make in order to feel better and in order to heal and if that's what she needs to heal I applaud her for doing what she needs to heal."

Currently, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively are involved in a legal battle regarding their movie, It Ends With Us. The controversy began when Blake accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment. After months of legal proceeding, Justin and Blake reached a settlement on May 4, 2026. Recently, Justin's lawyer opened up about the legal case and described it as 'win and total victory'. In his words:
"Let's be clear, this is a win and total victory for the Wayfarer parties. The court had already dismissed 10 of Ms. Lively's 13 claims, including every sexual harassment claim, every defamation claim, and all claims against the individual defendants. Ms. Lively voluntarily dismissed the rest. In our view, they settled because they knew they were going to lose in court. All that remains is a pending request for fees based on a very narrow issue that has been with the court since September 2025."
