She passed away on May 7, 2026 and had her second marriage with Doug Weiss, and it is interesting to note that two weeks before her demise, she celebrated the birthday of her husband, Doug Weiss. Little did Joni know that it would be the last time she would celebrate her husband's birthday.

Joni Lamb died at the age of 65 at her house in Bedford, Texas. According to a statement by Daystar, Joni was suffering from medical issues and also had a back injury that had worsened her health. Joni Lamb's husband, Doug Weiss, turned a year older on April 18, 2026. Joni died on May 7, 2026 and two weeks before her death, she took to her Instagram handle to celebrate the birthday of her second husband, Doug Weiss. Joni Lamb posted a cute selfie of herself cheek-to-cheek with her husband, Doug Weiss. She had worn a navy-blue-hued outfit, while Doug had worn a black-and-white formal suit with a bow. In her caption, she adorably called Doug a wonderful husband and wrote:

"Celebrating my wonderful husband @drdougweiss today! I am so grateful for his wisdom, strength, and heart for the Lord. Help me wish him a very happy birthday!"

For the unversed, Joni Lamb was first married to Marcus Lamb. She had met him in 1980, and by 1982, within two years, they had got married. It was in 1984 when both of them had settled in Montgomery, Alabama, and then together had started off a Christian TV station. The venture was nothing but a beginning of the duo together in the broadcast ministry. They had established Daystar Television Network back in 1993. 

Joni Lamb was first married to Marcus Lamb, and in 2023, after Marcus's death, Joni found love with Dr Doug Weiss. He had become her co-host on Ministry Now, Daystar's program. Marcus died in 2021, and a report by Newrelationship.com revealed that he had an extramarital affair. It was in 2023 when Joni announced her engagement with Doug. It had stunned her fans as she had moved on easily after the demise of her first husband, Marcus.
