The singer-songwriter has anticipated the day for long, and as her years-long wish has finally come true, her fans can't be any happier for her. As per September 11, 2026 (ET) reports, Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, quietly embraced parenthood just days after close friends claimed the couple became difficult to contact.

Lady Gaga, 40 and Michael Polansky, 42 went MIA following the end of her Mayhem Ball world tour in April 2026. Recently, an insider told the Daily Mail that people close to the singer believe she and her lover may have slipped away for a private wedding and honeymoon. The source claimed, "No one has seen her or heard from her in over a month." However, just a couple of days later, news broke that they had become parents- which explains why they had been out of touch for the past few months.

Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky kept the entire pregnancy and childbirth under wraps, and the news became public only after Page Six reported on the arrival of their little one. No further information has been released regarding the baby, including its name, gender, or exact date of birth. According to reports, the couple and their newborn are currently in Northern California.

Although the Die With A Smile singer made sure to keep her life update under wraps until her baby was born, she dropped a major hint about it a few months ago, in November 2025, by calling motherhood her "next starring role" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She also made similar statements in her interviews with media outlets around that time.

Lady Gaga was excited to embrace parenthood and shared what kind of mother she wanted to become

In a chat with the Instyle, Lady Gaga expressed her desire for motherhood and weighed in on how it might fit into her life someday. The Poker Face singer beamed with joy as she shared her plans for what kind of mother she wanted to be. Gaga said that she thought a lot about motherhood and concluded that she wanted to be the parent who gives her kid space.

Gaga mentioned that she would never force her child to do something against their will and would give them the leeway to live life on their own terms. According to her, children need an environment where they can discover who they are on their own, without depending on others. She was quoted as saying:

"I'm excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it. The thing that's the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing. So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that's the thing that I believe in the most."

Lady Gaga also revealed that she sometimes debated with herself regarding whether she would be able to deal with the new phase of motherhood and incorporate the drastic change in her life. She was torn between a life that centred around her and one where her baby needed the most attention.

Lady Gaga wondered how she would take time out of her busy schedule to dedicate to her baby. However, despite the challenges, she was clear in her head that she wanted to be a mom. In her words:

"I'm also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon. Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There's an incredible amount of narcissism in this. How do I live a life where I'm passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?"
