Chido Obi-Martin Finally Completes His Move To Man United From Arsenal

by · Naija News

Nigerian-born Danish youngster, Chido Obi-Martin has officially completed his move to Manchester United from Arsenal after a series of back-and-forths.

Chido Obi-Martin who is currently 16-year-old is highly regarded for his impressive goal-scoring abilities and has been likened to former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie due to his height and finishing ability.

Obi-Martin’s transfer to Manchester United was stalled due to the Premier League’s five-step review process, but the procedure was completed earlier today, September 27, 2024, allowing him to join the Old Trafford club.

“Chido Obi Martin can now be considered a new Manchester United player after Premier League approval”, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano wrote on X earlier today.

“PL’s 5-step process concluded this morning with positive feedback, as @AcademyScoop reports.

“Former Arsenal talent joins #MUFC, medical/signature already done.”

Chido Obi-Martin’s remarkable performances at the youth level have earned him recognition, and he has represented both Denmark and England at the youth international level.

He was a sought-after talent, with interest from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, but ultimately chose to join Manchester United for his development.

Note that a Danish mother gave birth to Chido Obi-Martin to an Igbo-Nigerian father. This means that the 16-year-old forward is eligible to represent Nigeria, Denmark, and England’s senior teams (since he was raised in the country).
