Aid supplies distributed to returning displaced residents in Falam, Chin State

Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, accompanied by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, attended a distribution ceremony held at the Falam Town Hall on July 14. During the event, relief items were presented to internally displaced residents who have returned to their communities.
The ceremony was attended by religious leaders, pastors and clergy, community elders, returning residents, and officials from relevant government departments.
The Deputy Minister said that the rehabilitation and reconstruction work in Chin State is being implemented rapidly, that the departmental offices are also operating normally, that regional stability and peace are the most important factors in regional development, and that religious leaders, pastors, monks, township leaders, departmental officials and the public need to work together to achieve regional stability and development. In order to meet the daily needs of the people who have been displaced due to the violence, the basic food and water supplies provided by the state are being provided to the people who have returned from their homes and will continue to be provided to the people who will return.
The Deputy Minister and the committee members provided 72 bags of rice and 273 visses of oil to 233 people who have returned from their homes.
Then, the Deputy Minister and his team visited the Public Health Department, Maternal and Child Health Department in Falam and inspected the status of vaccination activities for pregnant women, Officials explained the status of the campaign, including awareness-raising on prenatal care and expanded vaccination of children under (5) years of age.
So far, the Department of Public Health, Maternal and Child Health Department in Falam has vaccinated (34) pregnant women and (92) children under (5) years of age. In Tedim, Tonzhan and Falam, vaccination and awareness-raising have been provided to (15,802) pregnant women and (7,780) children under (5) years of age. The state is providing necessary vaccines and medical supplies for pregnant women and children under (5) years of age.
