Over 10,900 Tourists Visit Ngwe Saung Beach During February Holiday

A total of 10,936 domestic and international tourists visited Ngwe Saung Beach during the February public holiday, according to the Township Information Office.

Starting from February 12, Union Day, visitors from across the country and abroad traveled to the popular beach destination in the Ayeyawady Region for rest and recreation.

During the long holiday period from February 12 to 14, nearly all hotels and guesthouses at the beach were fully booked. Tourists mainly enjoyed swimming, walking along the sandy shore, watching the sunset, and visiting restaurants and souvenir shops.

To ensure visitors’ safety and convenience, local authorities issued guidelines and deployed a beach management team led by the township administrator. The team carried out beach cleaning, traffic control, and rescue operations throughout the holiday.
