Taylor Swift Is Not Dakota Johnson’s Therapist

Dakota Johnson was visited by her director last night on Saturday Night Live. No, not Michael Showalter, her “Patient Zero” director/co-star Taylor Swift. First, Johnson said that since last hosting SNL in 2024, she’d broken up with two musicians, acknowledging the Role Model rumors for maybe the first time? Then she brought her “therapist” on stage, Swift. The monologue framed Johnson and Swift in a classic kooky mess/normal one dyad, because Married Woman Swift doesn’t throw back the screw-top rosé like she used to.

This weekend also marked the release of the “Patient Zero” behind-the-scenes featurette. Because Director Swift is the only person who still cares about EPK’s, apparently. The footage shows that Johnson and co-star Colin Farrell ad libbed their fight around the “Tolerate It” table. Johnson (incorrectly) thought Brendan Fraser played Tarzan, while Farrell knew all too well he was George of the Jungle.
