Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dead at 27

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son, Presley Gerber, is dead at 27. “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” the family said in a statement to People. Gerber, like his sister Kaia Gerber, worked as a model, but he also struggled publicly with his mental health and substance use. TMZ reported that, at the time of his death on Sunday, Gerber was staying in an individual house in a rehab facility and that his family was informed that he died of a fatal overdose.

Born in 1999, Gerber was publicly troubled from a young age. At 19, he was charged with a DUI in Beverly Hills. In December 2025, Gerber talked about his problems on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,” he said, per E!, in the since-deleted video. He added, “I’ve grown up in Hollywood, and there’s a lot of people around that I love to death, but right now, I try not to be around them.”

His sister Kaia Gerber discussed his choice to go public with his problems in Vogue this year. “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone,’” she said. “There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.”
