Vucic at meeting in Belgrade marking 65th anniversary of first Non-Aligned Movement conference

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is today in Belgrade attending a meeting dedicated to marking the 65th anniversary of the first conference of the Non Aligned Movement, the presidential press service has announced.

The meeting is held in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.

The session and introductory speeches started at 09:30, and in addition to President Vucic, Uganda's Vice President Jessica Alupo is also addressing the participants.

According to the program, Vucic will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with officials of the participating countries during the day.

Later in the morning, Vucic will meet with President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama, and then with President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

A meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola Tete Antonio is scheduled next, and then Vucic will meet with Minister of National Defense of Lebanon Michel Menassa.

Vucic will then receive Minister of Parliamentary Relations and Minority Affairs of India Kiren Rijiju, and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Gerardo Penalver Portal.

The gathering today is being held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, that took place in Belgrade from September 1 to 6, 1961, with representatives of 25 countries participating.
