Roy Keane hints at next career move after punditry retirement announcement

Roy Keane has revealed that he is considering a move away from England in the coming years.

The Manchester United legend regularly visits his beloved Cork, but he is not planning to return home to the Rebel County permanently.

The 53-year-old is instead considering moving to Switzerland, which he described as "beautiful" country. Keane's admission comes just months after he revealed that he would not still be working as a pundit in a decade.

Keane has regularly appeared on The Overlap, and during their recent On Tour episode in Turin, the Old Trafford icon revealed to Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright and Gary Neville that he has his eyes on possibly moving away from England.

“In the next couple of years, I reckon I will be moving abroad... putting it out there," he informed the trio.

Pushed on where he would move to by Carragher, Keane replied: “Do you know what, Switzerland, maybe? Switzerland is beautiful.”

Speaking back in August, Keane revealed his intention to quit punditry within the next 10 years.

"I love football, but the hassle of matches, getting to games, and the hassle of fans – I was in court a few months ago with somebody head-butting me – do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not," he said, speaking on the Stick to Football podcast brought to you by Sky Bet.

"The games are fine. Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name – good stuff, bad stuff – it’s a nuisance. Being a pundit in 10 years, not."
