While leaks have stained the NTA’s scorecard while other examination agencies have fared well by comparison, in Latur the leak’s long shadow continues to hang over aspirants, though students there say they are keeping faith in their dreams.

19 yr old dies a day before NEET retest

Nikhila Henry in Hyderabad reports that a 19-year-old NEET aspirant was found dead in an apartment in Hyderabad's Miyapur area on Saturday, a day before the re-examination. Police said it appears to be a case of suicide. Police said a note was recovered in which Sheikh Sana wrote that no one was responsible for her death. According to police, the sisters had breakfast together on Saturday morning. Sana later went into her room, locked the door and said she would study for the exam. In the afternoon, her sisters knocked on the door to call her for lunch, but she did not respond, police said. Their parents live in Kuwait, the police said.
