Girl's Day Yura reveals that she once cried because of Suzy

On May 8, Yura posted a new video to her YouTube channel with fellow member Sojin. The two reminisced about their idol days, telling the story of how they first met and their first impressions of each other.
Yura also opened up about some difficult memories from her early days as an idol. She revealed that the most difficult experiences she had were the mandatory daily weigh-ins, and the day she saw Suzy and T-ARA's Jiyeon in-person for the first time. Yura revealed that meeting the famously beautiful Suzy, as well as other idols, had a harmful effect on her own self-esteem - causing her to cry.
"When I first came here from Ulsan, I thought I was the prettiest. But after coming here [to Seoul], I realized I was the least attractive. What a disaster. I had thought, 'Aren't I pretty enough?' and came to Seoul. And we did this program called 'Bouquet' where there were so many beautiful idols in that program... I was shocked when I first saw Suzy. And seeing Jiyeon was also a shock... I immediately felt deflated after that, so I went into a booth alone and cried... I thought, 'I'm not pretty.'"
Though the experience had been painful at the time, Yura and Sojin were able to laugh about it together now - earning praise from fans for Yura's candidness.
