SEVENTEEN's V8 (THE8 & VERNON) rolls out the track list for their unit EP

On June 16, V8 (SEVENTEEN's THE 8 and VERNON) unveiled the tracklist for their awaited self-titled first mini-album, 'V8.' 

The tracklist features eight tracks that capture the multifaceted textures of youth, tracing a journey from wandering and chaos to resilience and growth: the lead single “singasong,” the electro-trash track “Friend,” hyperpop-based “BEAT,” upbeat, beat-driven “mia,” the groovy hip-hop track, “coloring,” synth-and-bass-driven “girlsnboys,” EDM track “8DM,” and the digital-only release “rat race.” 

Notably, THE 8 and VERNON contributed extensively in the songwriting and composition for six of the tracks, showcasing their artistry. The songs on the album credit renowned names including BUMZU, Pharell Williams, and Mechatok.

For each solo track, THE 8 teams up with Alice Longyu Gao, DPR CREAM, and DPR ARTIC for “8DM.” Meanwhile, VERNON collaborated with KIRARA and Han Jung In, infusing his track “mia” with honest contemplation and layered production.

In the lead-up to the album’s release, V8 earlier revealed the ‘RATS NEST’ concept film and photos that portray the raw traces of resilience found amid the chaotic and unstable moments of youth, offering a glimpse into the project’s distinctive visual aesthetic.

'V8' is scheduled for release on June 29 at 6 PM KST.
