Director Yoo Insik of Netflix’s upcoming series 'The Wonderfools' addressed speculation surrounding lead actor Cha Eun Woo, stating that there were no edits made to reduce his appearance in the drama.

On May 12, a press conference for the Netflix series 'The Wonderfools' was held at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Grand Ballroom in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

During the event, Yoo Insik said, “I first learned about the issue through news reports when the editing and post-production process was already nearly complete. This project has been a long-time dream for me, and every single person involved worked incredibly hard, even for a one-second shot. We approached post-production with the overall quality and completion of the drama as our top priority.” He added, “I ask for your understanding that I cannot comment in detail on personal issues.”

Regarding Cha Eun Woo’s performance, Yoo Insik praised the actor by saying, “His emotional acting and multidimensional performance exceeded expectations. Not only Cha Eun Woo, but all of the actors showed a completely new side of themselves. Cha Eun Woo also worked passionately like everyone else, and I’m satisfied with the result.”

After hearing the director’s remarks, actress Park Eun Bin also expressed confidence in the series, saying, “From the very beginning, the director emphasized how important team chemistry was. Everyone poured all of their energy into achieving that. You’ll be able to see the result for yourselves on May 15.”
