Park Bo Gum’s ‘The Village Barber’ confirmed for season 2

The tvN program, which wrapped up on April 3 to positive viewer reviews, quickly confirmed production for season 2. The new season is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
‘The Village Barber’ follows Park Bo Gum, Lee Sang Yi, and Kwak Dong Yeon as they run a small hair salon in a village in Muju, building meaningful connections with local residents.
Park Bo Gum, who holds a barber license, took charge of hairstyling, while Lee Sang Yi obtained a nail technician license for the show. Kwak Dong Yeon completed the team by handling cooking and household tasks, showcasing strong teamwork throughout the program.
Even after filming ended, the three continued to visit the village, maintaining genuine relationships with the residents. Their heartfelt interactions left a lasting impression on viewers.
The show also achieved strong ratings, ranking No. 1 among all channels in its time slot for the 20 to 49 demographic for seven consecutive weeks. It also remained in the Top 10 for buzz rankings for nine straight weeks, while total video views surpassed 260 million.
The program gained global attention as well, being released in around 200 countries and regions and earning a high rating of 9.5 on IMDb.
Season 2 of ‘The Village Barber’ is set to air later this year.
