Lee Gikwang of Highlight and Sandeul of B1A4 shared significant updates about their groups' recent activities during the May 2, 2026, broadcast of JTBC’s 'Knowing Bros'. Appearing alongside Soyou and Sung Han Bin, the veteran idols discussed the next chapters of their respective careers, including group name rights and the establishment of an independent agency.

During the episode, Lee Gikwang delivered the long-awaited news that Highlight has finally secured the legal rights to use their original group name, Beast. He explained that while they previously had the rights to their songs, they were restricted from using the name Beast until a recent agreement was reached. Despite this new freedom, the group has decided to continue promoting as Highlight. "We used Beast for seven years and Highlight for nine, so we chose to stick with Highlight," he said. He also teased an upcoming comeback, revealing that the group is currently reviewing 50 to 60 songs for a new album and a subsequent concert.

Sandeul also shared a major milestone for B1A4, announcing that the members have founded their own independent label, B1A4 Company. Although the office is still being set up, Sandeul expressed pride in the members managing their own group activities. He further promoted their latest musical project, noting that B1A4 recently released their new track, 'Rock Paper Scissors', on April 21. Addressing their 10-year plus career, Sandeul shared that while business discussions can lead to disagreements, he often acts as a mediator to keep the group united. "I play the middleman to help coordinate things, and we are currently doing very well," he shared.
