Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam signs with acting agency

Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam is officially beginning her career as an actress after signing an exclusive contract with Management Koo.

On June 16 KST, the agency announced the signing and expressed confidence in Kim’s future potential as a performer.

“While following Kim Garam’s YouTube activities, we were deeply impressed by her potential as an actress and her sincere attitude,” the company said. “Her consistent efforts and determination to achieve her dream played a major role in our decision to sign her.”

Management Koo added that Kim has been continuously training and studying to improve her acting skills, showing notable growth in a relatively short period of time.

According to the agency, she has also been investing time in learning English and Japanese, while independently studying guitar, demonstrating a strong commitment to personal growth and new challenges.

“Most of her time is dedicated to preparing for her dream of becoming an actress and improving herself,” the company explained. “After extensive discussions, we concluded that her growth potential and future prospects are extremely promising.”

The agency also pledged full support for Kim as she begins the next chapter of her career.

Kim Garam debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 but left the group shortly afterward following school bullying allegations. At the time, she denied accusations of physical violence, forced school transfer, smoking, drinking, or bullying others.

Since stepping away from idol activities, Kim has maintained communication with fans through her YouTube channel, where she has shared glimpses of her daily life, including studying at university, taking acting lessons, and working toward her future goals.

With a new agency and a clear focus on acting, Kim Garam is now preparing to make her official debut as an actress.
