RESCENE named Gyeongju tourism ambassadors, promoting Zena's hometown to the world

On June 29, the Gyeongju City government announced that it had selected RESCENE as its official tourism ambassadors. The group will help promote the city's rich history, cultural heritage, and tourism attractions to audiences both in South Korea and around the world.
The city explained that it chose RESCENE because the group combines broad public appeal with strong local ties through Jenna, who was born in Gyeongju. Jenna has frequently expressed her affection for her hometown, earning the nickname "Silla Princess" among fans.
A city official said, "K-pop has become a powerful global cultural force. We believed it was important to appoint ambassadors who could naturally connect with younger generations and international visitors."
Leveraging their approachable image, RESCENE will introduce Gyeongju's historical landmarks, cultural heritage, festivals, and popular tourist destinations to K-pop fans and the MZ generation. The city also hopes the partnership will strengthen Gyeongju's brand as a vibrant tourist destination.
Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak Young welcomed the appointment, saying, "It is especially meaningful to work with RESCENE, a group that includes Gyeongju native Zena."
He added, "We hope RESCENE's youthful and refreshing charm will help showcase Gyeongju's history, culture, and tourism resources to audiences at home and abroad as outstanding ambassadors for our city."
An official appointment ceremony will be held at a later date. Moving forward, RESCENE will participate in a variety of promotional campaigns and city content aimed at boosting tourism and enhancing Gyeongju's brand value.
Meanwhile, RESCENE has previously been appointed as tourism ambassadors for Geoje and Suwon. The group is set to make their comeback on July 8 at 6 PM KST with the remake single "Pretty Girl."
