BOYNEXTDOOR member Myung Jae Hyun has shared details about the physically demanding jobs he worked before debuting, revealing that he temporarily stepped away from trainee life for about a year.

On June 11, Myung Jae Hyun appeared alongside fellow BOYNEXTDOOR members Woonhak and Taesan on the YouTube program 'Mini Pinggyego', where the trio shared stories about their journey to debut.

When asked by host Yoo Jae Suk about his background, Myung Jae Hyun revealed that he had spent years as a trainee before taking a break from pursuing music.

"I trained for a long time, but then I quit for about a year and worked various part-time jobs," he said. "I worked loading and unloading delivery trucks, at construction sites, and even hauling coal at a mine."

The singer added that he had begun to feel distant from music around the age of 20 before receiving an unexpected opportunity.

"At that point, I thought I had grown far away from music, but then producer Zico reached out to me," he recalled. "When I heard that Zico would personally be conducting the audition, I thought, 'I should go see a celebrity,' and that's how I ended up going."

His candid story drew laughter from the cast, and his fellow members shared similar experiences about auditioning for Zico.

Woonhak joked that he decided to attend the audition after hearing he might be able to take a photo with the producer, while Taesan revealed that he did not even know Zico would be present at the audition venue and was surprised when he arrived.

BOYNEXTDOOR recently returned with its first full-length album 'HOME', released on June 8. The group performed the title track 'VIRAL' on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on June 11 and is scheduled to hold a comeback pop-up store at HYBE's Yongsan headquarters from June 16 to 25.
