Comedian Lee Jin Ho recovering after brain hemorrhage hospitalization

Lee Jin Ho is reportedly showing signs of recovery after suffering a brain hemorrhage last month.

According to reports on May 14 KST, Lee Jin Ho collapsed suddenly on April 1 due to a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to the intensive care unit in critical condition. Fortunately, he reportedly improved quickly through treatment without undergoing major surgery.

Lee Jin Ho is currently focusing on rehabilitation in a general hospital ward and is said to be able to recognize people and hold conversations with acquaintances.

People close to him reportedly expressed relief, noting that brain hemorrhages can often lead to severe long-term complications. However, Lee Jin Ho is still expected to remain hospitalized for continued treatment and rehabilitation.

As his condition stabilized, visits from fellow comedians and close friends also resumed. Lee Yong Jin was reportedly among the first to visit him at the hospital.

Reports also revealed that Kangin of Super Junior played a crucial role during the emergency. Kangin had coincidentally called Lee Jin Ho on the day he collapsed, and after hearing his condition, quickly contacted emergency services, allowing paramedics to arrive within the critical “golden time.”

However, his activities were suspended in 2024 after he admitted to illegal gambling. He was also later referred to prosecutors for drunk driving and faced criticism over unpaid health insurance fees reportedly totaling around 28 million KRW(~19,000 USD).
