USPEER appoints Sian as new leader one year after debut

USPEER has appointed Sian as its new leader just one year after the group's debut.

According to their agency, MW Entertainment, USPEER—consisting of Soee, Sian, Seoyu, Daon, Chaena, and Roa—held its first-anniversary fan meeting, '2026 TEAM US,' on June 6, 2026 (KST). The group hosted two sessions, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., at Space Brick in Mapo District, Seoul, to connect with fans ahead of their upcoming comeback.

Held free of charge as a gesture of gratitude to fans who waited through the group's hiatus, the event marked both their first anniversary and the election of a new leader. "We are so moved and happy to hold our dream-like first fan meeting for our first anniversary," the members expressed. "It is wonderful to see the familiar faces we've missed so much, as well as welcome new fans."

One of the key moments of the fan meeting was the announcement of USPEER's new leader, following former leader Yeowon's departure from the group due to health reasons. The final result was determined through a combination of advance online voting and on-site fan votes.

Following the final tally, Sian was officially named USPEER's new leader. "As I take the helm to lead the team through 2026, I will work hard to harmonize the voices of our fans, our company, and my fellow members," Sian said. "I will do my absolute best to become a leader who never disappoints."

Following the emotional announcement, USPEER treated fans to a special performance of I-DLE’s hit song 'Fate.' The members were later moved to tears by a surprise slogan event and a commemorative cake prepared by fans.

Concluding the event, the group shared, "We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to meet everyone through this fan meeting after such a long time. Please look forward to and show lots of love for our upcoming album."

USPEER is scheduled to release its first mini-album, 'BITE DISTRICT,' on June 17, 2026, at 6 p.m. (KST) across all major music platforms.
