Teaser sparks buzz for new romantic comedy drama 'Positively Yours' starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo

From the very first teaser, Channel A’s upcoming drama 'Positively Yours' is already turning heads. Starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo, the series promises a dopamine-charged ride through a romance where love and marriage defy conventional order.

The new weekend drama tells the story of two people who swore off marriage in this lifetime but find themselves entangled after a spontaneous one-night adventure. Adapted from the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, Positively Yours is set to premiere on January 17.

Choi Jin Hyuk plays Kang Do Jun, the heir to Tae Han Brewery. On the surface, Do Jun seems like a perfect chaebol, but he carries the guilt of his older brother’s death, believing it was somehow his fault, and has vowed to live out the life his brother never could. Having given up on marriage, he faces emotional turmoil when he meets Jang Hee Won, a woman whose passion for her dreams captivates him.

Oh Yeon Seo portrays Jang Hee Won, the youngest manager in the brewery’s product development team. Scarred by her parents’ divorce and her mother’s harsh words, Hee Won has long rejected marriage, dedicating herself entirely to creating her own beer brand. While attending a market research event, she unexpectedly encounters Do Jun, setting off a chain of unforeseen events in her life.

The drama promises an unusual romance as these two seemingly marriage-averse individuals challenge the typical sequence of dating and marriage, sparking curiosity about how their story will unfold.

On December 19, the production team released two teaser videos, highlighting the drama’s core themes: the “dopamine couple” and a “one-night escapade romance.” The clips showcase the thrilling and intimate moments that bind Do Jun and Hee Won together, hinting at the explosive chemistry the series promises.

In the teasers, Hee Won confidently declares, “I can say for sure—there’s no marriage in this lifetime,” embracing her self-made path over love. Yet a surprise one-night encounter with Do Jun shakes up her carefully planned life. As she reflects on the incident, Hee Won humorously chastises herself, saying, “I’m crazy” and “This is insane.” Toward the end of the teaser, Do Jun drops a bombshell, declaring, “Is it mine? Let’s get married,” leaving audiences eagerly awaiting Hee Won’s response.

With their spontaneous night setting off unexpected changes in both their lives, Positively Yours teases a romantic comedy full of twists and unpredictable chemistry.
