Kim Yuna is set to unveil a special performance, teaming up with director Shin Woo Seok to transform into a ballerina.

The Google campaign ‘Our Queen is Back,’ which will be released on April 6, features a collaboration between Kim Yuna and legendary ballerina Kang Sue Jin. The video will first be revealed through Google Korea’s YouTube channel, followed by an additional release on the Dolphin Kidnapping Group’s official channel on April 7.

In this project, Kim Yuna reinterprets her iconic short program “Danse Macabre” through ballet choreography. Known for her powerful charisma on ice, fans are eager to see how she brings a new dimension to the performance in ballet attire.

The collaboration with Kang Sue Jin has especially heightened anticipation, as two of Korea’s most iconic figures come together for a single project, drawing attention to the synergy they will create.

Directed by Shin Woo Seok, the video is expected to stand out with his signature stylish direction and strong visual storytelling. Even the teaser alone has already generated buzz, showcasing Kim Yuna stepping away from the ice and into the world of ballet.

Beyond the main film, the campaign will also release behind the scenes footage, making films, and five short form videos that explore Kim Yuna’s journey before and after the ballet performance.

The project was created in collaboration with Google. During the process of reimagining “Danse Macabre” as a ballet piece, Google’s AI system Gemini was utilized, with Kang Sue Jin participating in reviewing the results. Gemini was also used in choreography, stage design, and costume planning, while Kim Yuna reportedly used it during practice to analyze and refine her movements.

Director Shin Woo Seok shared, “We created this project with the hope that people can pursue their potential without giving up on their dreams due to money, time, or competition.” He added, “Kim Yuna worked passionately to transform into a ballerina and complete this performance, and we hope it becomes a meaningful gift for fans.”
