CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa wins at '2026 hito Music Awards'

On May 23, 2026 (KST), Jung Yong Hwa attended the '2026 hito Music Awards' held at Taipei Arena, where he received the Hito Overseas Singer-Songwriter Artist award.
Hosted by Hit FM, the '2026 hito Music Awards' is considered one of the Chinese-language music industry’s major annual events. The ceremony marked Jung Yong Hwa’s first appearance at a large-scale Taiwanese awards show since his debut, highlighting his enduring influence and strong local fanbase.
In addition to accepting the award, Jung Yong Hwa also delivered several collaborative and solo performances throughout the night. He first made a surprise appearance during Taiwanese singer J.Sheon’s performance of 'Don’t Ask', impressing the audience with his fluent Chinese, stable live vocals, and commanding stage presence.
The two artists then performed CNBLUE’s hit song 'I’m a Loner' together, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Later in the ceremony, Jung Yong Hwa showcased a medley of his own songs, reflecting the breadth of his musical career. His set included the solo track 'Your City', drama OST 'You’ve Fallen for Me', CNBLUE tracks 'Love' and 'I’m Sorry', as well as his solo debut song 'One Fine Day'.
During his acceptance speech, Jung Yong Hwa said, "Creating music is the most precious and beloved thing in my life, so this award feels even more meaningful and special to me. I’m truly happy and grateful that my music has been recognized." He continued, "The love you have given me will remain the greatest driving force in my life forever."
Since releasing his first solo full-length album 'One Fine Day' in 2015, Jung Yong Hwa has steadily built his own musical identity as a singer-songwriter. In 2021, he expanded his activities into the Chinese-language market with his first Mandarin EP 'STAY IN TOUCH', further broadening his global reach across languages and borders.
Last year, he released his third mini album 'One Last Day' and held the Asian tour 'Director’s Cut: Our Fine Days', continuing to strengthen his international presence through both solo and group activities.
